Hello and welcome to another week here at C’est si Bon. It is finally fall, and the weather is behaving accordingly here in the NYC area. I’m looking forward to doing all the fun fall activities like apple picking and hayrides to the pumpkin patch. 

Next week, I’ll have an apple dessert for you to try, but this week I’m jumping right to a pumpkin treat. Brown butter in the batter as well as the frosting makes these pumpkin bars extra nutty and delicious. The spices add depth and warmth and the frosting is perfectly creamy. I hope you enjoy these as much as my family does. 

Another recipe for this week is my sausage, mushroom and cheddar frittata. It’s a perfect cozy dinner, but could easily be made for a brunch or lunch as well. The sausage and mushrooms are a perfect flavor of fall, along with the chard. It can be served warm or room temperature and is perfect with a green salad and some garlic bread. Sausage and mushroom is one of my favorite combinations and this does not disappoint.
