Popular AI tool ChatGPT can provide support for those seeking love online. According to Nasdaq, the long language model can assist singles and dating app users by providing exciting and engaging conversation starters and offering inventive date ideas.

“Most apps seem to be ‘trying to figure it out,’” says Matt J. Seymour, Healthy Framework dating industry trends expert. “We’re seeing tests around using AI for matchmaking, customer support, and even helping people create user profiles and send messages.”

New York Magazine predicts AI will soon overtake traditional dating apps as young singles become burned out from sliding into the same pair of slingback heels for their 100th first date. In a 2024 survey of over 1,100 people, Tidio found 47% of participants willing to use AI dating technology to find long-term love.
