Praise Team Delivers Powerful ‘Promise Keeper’ Performance

First Baptist Clarksville’s praise team delivers a powerful ‘Promise Keeper’ performance on the church’s stage in a new video on YouTube. As the whole team and choir sing and perform, you can see the joy in their countenances. Play the video to hear the sweet praise to God.

First Baptist Clarksville’s stage may be elaborate with lights, many people playing instruments, and a fully robed choir, but don’t let that distract you from the humble message of this wonderful song. The song is relatively new in corporate worship. It was initially released in 2020 and performed by Hope Darst. She wrote it with Ethan Hulse and Jonathan Smith. Some of the lyrics the team sings are:

You know the ending before the beginning
I know that You have worked all things out
I know, I know
You are a promise keeper

The worship team’s cover of the song is very different from Darst’s. They’ve made it their own with a more gentle flow and softer voices, but it sounds wonderful and is a great song to sing in a church assembly.

The song speaks of how we know we can trust God and that there is evidence of his goodness everywhere.

“This song was written as a declaration of who I believe God is: a promise keeper who never fails us,” Hope said. “If you’re like me, there have been many seasons where I’ve had to wrestle through this truth… [But] he always does what He says He’s going to do. It might not happen when I think it should happen or how I think it should happen, but God’s word always shows up.”

"Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Yahweh your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it.” Joshua 23:14

The Archers Return After 30+ Years with 'Legacy Live,' Stories, Faith & Timeless Songs

The Archers, GRAMMY-winning pioneers of the Jesus Music movement, join us in this special interview to talk about their long-awaited new album 'Legacy Live,' arriving August 22. Recorded at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center in Franklin, Tennessee, the project captures a landmark concert featuring reimagined versions of their career-defining hits, including “Celebrate,” “Fresh Surrender,” and the Andraé Crouch classic “Jesus Is The Answer,” which the group was the first to record back in 1972. With a 14-piece all-star band and arrangements by the late Tim Akers, the album preserves the signature LA Pop Gospel sound that made The Archers household names while offering a fresh, live energy for both longtime fans and a new generation. In our conversation, Tim, Steve, and Janice Archer reflect on why now was the right moment to revisit their catalog after more than three decades, how fan input shaped the tracklist, and the challenges—and blessings—of keeping the songs true to their original spirit. They share behind-the-scenes stories from the night of the concert, the inspiration behind certain arrangements, and the deep spiritual impact these songs continue to have, from inspiring young listeners to touching the lives of those walking through illness and hardship. The trio also takes us back to the early days of the Jesus Music movement, recalling vivid moments with fellow trailblazers like Love Song, Larry Norman, and Keith Green, as well as the electric atmosphere of youth rallies, festivals, and their historic performance at the Grammys. More than a nostalgic trip, Legacy Live is a testament to the staying power of songs rooted in Scripture and heartfelt ministry. Whether you’ve been following The Archers since the 1970s or are discovering their music for the first time, this interview offers a front-row seat to the stories, faith, and passion behind an album designed to celebrate five decades of music—and point listeners toward the unchanging hope found in Jesus.

Joel Vaughn | 'Testify' (acoustic)

Jamie MacDonald Sings of God’s Life-Changing Power in ‘Left It In The River’

If joy had a dress code, Jamie MacDonald would have nailed it. She powerfully sings of God’s life-changing power in her new song ‘Left It In The River.’ You can’t help but start dancing.

In her latest music video, she stood bold as sunrise in a bright orange shirt and slacks, sunhat tipped just so, sunglasses shielding her eyes from the glare of studio lights but not her grin. The colors on her back matched the colors in her music—bold, brave, and spilling over with life. It was as if she didn’t have a care in the world, because, well… she left those cares somewhere far behind.

The first strum of the guitar settled like a heartbeat, and then her voice—rich and soulful, a sultry mix of Lauren Daigle and Adele—began to tell a story that’s as old as the gospel and as fresh as the day God set you free.

I had burdens on my shoulders all my life

I tried and tried to leave ‘em all behind
But freedom’s one thing I could never find

It’s the testimony we’ve all lived in some way—carrying chains we didn’t know how to break, trying to find freedom in all the wrong places. But then comes the turning point:

I said a prayer from the banks of a river
God met me there showing me something better

And just like that, Jamie’s song isn’t just music—it’s an altar call.

Her chorus rings out like a revival under a summer sky:

My life was changed
When I stepped into the water
Ain’t seen my chains
Since I gave ‘em to the Father

It’s the kind of song that makes you want to throw your arms wide and let the wind and Spirit rush right through you. The kind that reminds you God doesn’t just loosen chains—He breaks them. And once He carries them away, they’re gone for good.

Jamie sings like someone who’s been to the edge, stepped in, and come out new. And she wants you to know—whatever you’re carrying, whatever has wrapped itself around your soul—there’s a place for it to go. You don’t have to drag it one step further.

Because the river is still running, the Father is still waiting, and freedom is still free. And maybe, just maybe, this is your moment to leave it all in the river.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”  2 Corinthians 5:17

Chris Tomlin's ‘How Great Is Our God’ Gets Soul-Stirring Cover

Chris Tomlin’s ‘How Great Is Our God’ gets a soul-stirring cover by none other than Genavieve Linkowski. She once stood on the stage of American Idol to proclaim the power of the Gospel, and now she’s bringing the heart of Christ right to your eardrums. And you can’t help but close your eyes and listen. It’s a moment that hushes all the anxiety in your heart and ushers in the calm we so badly need on busy, bustling days.

There are moments in worship when time seems to slow, when the noise of the day fades, and the quiet power of God’s greatness fills every corner of your heart. Genavieve knows those moments well.

When she begins to sing this powerful song, you close your eyes and listen to her voice, tender yet mighty,  as she wraps around the lyrics like a warm embrace. It hushes the anxiety that clings to your shoulders and ushers in the peace we all so desperately need.

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the Earth rejoice
All the Earth rejoice...

I can’t help but get excited when the worship team at church strikes those first chords because you know it’s a chance to connect with our mighty God and be reminded just who He is. No matter the challenges, trials, or struggles, our Great God holds us in His hands. And Genavieve does such a beautiful job, too!

Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end...

Genavieve’s voice carries the weight and wonder of the words, breathing fresh life into a song that has touched millions. She sings of the Godhead Three in One, the Lion and the Lamb, the Name above all names—truths that steady our souls and stir our worship. And as she lifts her voice, so do ours—joined in a chorus that spans every generation and every heart longing for hope.

My heart will sing
How great is our God

This song is a prayer, a praise, and a promise. And when Genavieve sings it, it becomes a moment to reconnect—with our Creator, our Savior, and our unshakable hope.

How great is our God, indeed.

“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.” Psalm 145:3

Genavieve Linkowski Stunning Cover of Phil Wickham’s ‘Battle Belongs’

Check out this stunning cover from Genavieve Linkowski of the song ‘Battle Belongs’ by Phil Wickham. Genavieve’s voice is incredible, and you can really feel that she puts her heart into her singing. Seeing her using her gift to bring God glory is beautiful!

‘When all I see is the battle, You see my victory
When all I see is the mountain, You see a mountain moved
And as I walk through the shadow, Your love surrounds me
There's nothing to fear now for I am safe with You’

The song ‘Battle Belongs’ was released by Phil Wickham in September 2020 as the lead single to his eighth studio album titled Hymn of Heaven. Phil co-wrote the song with Brian Johnson and collaborated with Jonathan Smith in the production of the single. ‘Battle Belongs’ peaked at No. 2 on the US Hot Christian Songs chart, and it was nominated for the GMA Dove Award Worship Recorded Song of the Year at the 2021 GMA Dove Awards.

As for Genavieve Linkowski, she is a 26-year-old singer from a small town in Michigan. She is the oldest of 11 children, and she grew up classically trained in the piano, violin, and harp.

“I love Jesus. I sing songs. My Life Goal: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever,” Genavieve writes as the primary point on her music website.

Back in 2019, Genavieve tragically lost her sister in a car accident. “From that moment on, God began a journey to teach me lessons that only suffering can teach in a way that I would never ever in my life ask to be done,” Genavieve shares on her website. “God has used this tragedy to do what He has given me the desire to do with all of my life - to give Him glory! I pray that God will use my testimony to get you to the point of complete surrender to Jesus and His will for your life. May we all live to bring Him all the Glory He deserves.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Genavieve sing ‘Battle Belongs’ today!

Ellie Holcomb Powerful ‘Hope’s Gonna Find You’ Lyric Video

Check out the official lyric video of Ellie Holcomb’s powerful new song, ‘Hope’s Gonna Find You.’ This brand new single is from Ellie’s forthcoming album, Far Country, which is available on September 12th. ‘Hope’s Gonna Find You’ is a song that holds space for both sorrow and resilience, reminding us that there is hidden beauty to be found in our most challenging moments.

‘What if hope’s not a path that you chose
It’s the loss of control
It’s a landslide of losing my religion
Going blind to find my vision’

This beautiful song was co-written by Ellie Holcomb, Cason Cooley, and Bear Rinehart. Ellie shared about the process of writing ‘Hope’s Gonna Find You’ and the lessons that came out of it.

“I wrote this song during a season of deep grief and doubt, and as I was falling apart, I found myself falling into the everlasting arms of Love,” shared Ellie Holcomb. “My prayer is that this song would meet you right where you are, even if that’s in the midst of your darkest night, and that it would lift your eyes toward the light.”

‘Hope’s Gonna Find You’ is part of Ellie’s fourth full-length studio album, Far Country, which includes a fresh collection of 11 songs that hold vivid lyrics and acoustic-grounded, pop-centric melodies. Some of the other songwriters that were part of this album include Jason Ingram, Hank Bentley, Thad Cockrell, Jessie Early, Jon Guerra, Natalie Hemby, Kirby Kapel, Taylor Leonhardt, Latifa Morton, and KS Rhodes.

What an encouraging song! May the Lord continue to use Ellie Holcomb to bless others as she shares joy and light with her music. And may we remember that no matter where life takes us, hope is always available to us as we lean into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Worship Team’s ‘Stand in Your Love’ Performance Uplifts the Soul

Check out this worship team singing an uplifting performance of the song ‘Stand in Your Love.’
The singers and musicians are part of First Baptist Clarksville, a church in Tennessee, and their performance is just heavenly. The music is sure to encourage your soul.

‘When darkness tries to roll over my bones
When sorrow comes to steal the joy I own
When brokenness and pain is all I know
I won't be shaken, no, I won't be shaken’

This powerful worship song is a rallying cry and a reminder to us all that we are not meant to fight our fears alone. When believers unite together and worship alongside each other, when we are in the presence of Christ’s love and reminded of his power, fear loses its grip on us. The sheer act of worship is an act of defiance against fear in our lives.

‘Stand in Your Love’ was written by Josh Baldwin, who joined the Bethel Music Collective in 2014. He began his journey in North Carolina, where he was a worship pastor for 10 years before joining the collective. His song truly captures the heart’s battle and triumph over fear.

“I’m not the only one that has fears. There’s people sitting next to you that are going through things. We’re all coming in together and we all are reminding each other. That as we sing, as we stand firm in the love of Jesus, that the fear, it has no power. It has no authority over us because of what he did,” shares Josh Baldwin.

We hope that this song encouraged you today. May the lyrics remind you of Christ's identity and victory and how he is our stronghold and firm foundation. We can stand in his perfect love, for it casts out fear and uncertainty.
