If Ever I Loved Thee

“If Ever I Loved Thee” is a quiet, deeply personal response to the overwhelming mercy of Christ.

Set against the backdrop of His suffering, death, burial, and resurrection, the song reflects on a simple but piercing truth: Jesus endured what looked like madness to the world—though He was completely innocent—so that we might receive the mercy we could never earn.

He stood silent before His accusers.

He suffered without guilt.

He chose the cross… for us.

And in that moment, what appeared to be defeat became the greatest act of love in human history.

“If Ever I Loved Thee” is not a declaration of perfect devotion, but a humble offering—an acknowledgment that any love we have for Him exists only because He first loved us.

It is a song of surrender.

A song of gratitude.

A song for anyone who has come to realize the depth of His mercy.

🎧 Listen, reflect, and be reminded:

What looked like madness… was mercy all along.

‘We live heartbeat to heartbeat and time keeps racing by
So let’s make some memories worth living for
We go fast lane to fast lane but in between the lines
Is where we’re gonna find what matters more’

What an incredibly touching song written by Mat Shaw, Savanna Shaw, Shannon Haley Michaels, and Sarah Guarino. And Mat and Savanna share the meaning behind it in the caption of their music video.

There Are Moments in Life That Move Us

“To ‘be moved’ isn’t about having more. It’s about noticing more. We wrote this song about the kind of drives where no one’s on their phone. Where the conversation just unfolds. About backseat laughter. About choosing the long way home just to keep the conversation going. Where the sunshine hits just right and somehow a regular Tuesday feels unforgettable.”

They continue: “Those are the moments that move us. Having our whole family in this video felt like the only honest way to tell the story. Because the people you see in the backseat are the same ones who inspired the song in the first place. Take the long way home. Be moved.”

Mat and Savanna Shaw’s "Be Moved" is a song that will uplift you and remind you of what truly matters. How simple time with family, when there is nothing to distract us from each other, can be such sweet moments that fill our souls.

We hope that you enjoyed this gifted family sharing their song “Be Moved” with you today!

‘How Great Thou Art’ Originated in Sweden

As for the background of ‘How Great Thou Art,’ the journey of how the song came to be is quite interesting. The hymn originated in Sweden in 1886, long before it reached the United States.

Author and editor Carl Boberg originally wrote ‘How Great Thou Art’ as a poem. Later, those words were set to a Swedish folk tune. Then in 1907, Manfred von Glehn translated it into German, and five years later, a Russian pastor named Ivan Prokhanov created a Russian adaptation.

Then, in the early 1920s, Rev. and Mrs. Stuart Hine left their home in England and went to Poland as missionaries. That’s when they heard the Russian adaptation of ‘How Great Thou Art.’ Reverend Hine decided to write the English lyrics and make his own arrangement of the Swedish melody. After many iterations, we have the beloved ‘How Great Thou Art’ hymn we know today.

We hope you enjoyed listening to this amazing version of “How Great Thou Art” today!

Chilling 'Give Thanks' Rendition Performed in 3 Languages

This chilling 'Give Thanks' rendition performed in 3 languages will lift your spirits today and remind you who is always there for you–God. It’s beautiful and inspiring. Watch the video to feel His presence.

The group of believers sings in 3 languages—English, Hebrew, and Arabic — and it sounds beautiful. It surely brings much honor to God when he sees his children from different parts of the world come together to sing him worship songs.

The song that they chose to sing is Henry Smith Jr.’s “Give Thanks (with a Grateful Heart).” Some of the English lyrics are:

Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks to the Holy one,
Give thanks because He's given,
Jesus Christ His Son.

It is a beautiful song about gratitude and having a humble heart. Of all of the worship songs in the world, this one is one of the most emotional and powerful.

The Song Was Written By Henry Smith Jr.

The song was written by Henry Smith Jr., who was born with a degenerative disease that made him blind. He was very discouraged after college when he couldn’t find a job, but found encouragement through a sermon his pastor gave. The pastor referenced how Jesus made himself poor to make others rich through him.

Smith said, “In 1978, in an apartment in Williamsburg, Virginia, I wrote Give Thanks. Shortly thereafter my wife, Cindy, and I sang the song at our church. We repeated it a number of times over a period of several weeks.”

Eight years later, a friend brought him a cassette with his song, listed as “author unknown.” Hosanna! Music had published it, and Don Moen sang it on his album.

Henry said, “I called the company and told them I had written the song. Their response was, ‘Good! We have been trying to find you.’ Since then, more than 50 recording companies have produced ‘Give Thanks.’”

It’s wonderful how God used Henry’s struggles to inspire him to write this and encourage thousands who’ve heard it.

"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him,” Colossians 3:17

Stanaj on Reimagining “Amazing Grace” with Tommee Profitt

On the red carpet at the world premiere of The Resurrection of a King, Stanaj talks with Brandon Woolum about the pressure of stepping into a song that nearly everyone knows and how working with Tommee Profitt pushed him to new creative limits once again.

He shares why this performance goes far beyond hitting big notes, focusing instead on delivering the message of grace, the resurrection, and the story of Jesus in a way that truly connects. Stanaj also breaks down the challenge of balancing power and intimacy, and why sometimes the quietest moments in a song are the hardest to get right.

Plus, he reflects on how this project ties into The Birth of a King, creating a full-circle story that feels more like a cinematic sequel than just another album.
