The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift

The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah’

Colossians 3:16  "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

Fantastic Bluegrass Cover of 'When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder'

Get ready for some good ole bluegrass talent. Check out this fantastic bluegrass cover of ‘When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder.’

Whether you are a bluegrass fan or not, this video will entertain and amaze you. We see a group of six adults and teenagers sitting outside under the outdoor lights at dusk. Amo Raber’s band begins to play the introduction, making you want to dance. The banjo and the fiddle especially shine. Then, as Amos begins to sing and the harmonies join in, the song is stunning. They are all so talented. What is even more amazing is watching how they glorify God with their voices and instruments.

‘When the Roll is Called up Yonder’ is a famous hymn. The chorus sings:

‘When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.’

This is such a simple yet profound message that those who have accepted Jesus are secure eternally in heaven. Faith in Him leads to eternal life, yet how could we, as sinners, be forgiven and brought into God’s family? Listening to this song reminds us of the hope that we, as believers, have in Jesus.

The upbeat music gives us joy and celebration that we are His. It causes us to want to clap, dance, or stomp our feet. Watching these young instrumentalists is incredible. They are skilled musicians. Amos’ voice is professional and radio level. This group not only is talented, but they all appear to have genuine happiness while performing together. They are worshiping God and thanking Him for eternal life through song. We too can join in. This video will no doubt bring a smile to your face.

“Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20

In everything she does, her talent and the message of God's love, faithfulness and forgiveness always shine through.

In her short career, Lauren has already experienced a lot of success. Many of her tunes have become hits, including "You Say." That song is arguably her biggest song. Soon after it was released, it achieved crossover success and was played extensively on pop radio stations. That song has also spawned hundreds of covers, including one from the One Voice Children's Choir.

In the video posted on YouTube, the talented young people use their God-given musical talents to give an incredible and chilling version of "You Say." As good as the young people's performance is, Lauren's original lyrics make this song such a beloved classic. It's a tune that tells of God's love and that even when we're at our weakest and feel alone and worthless, we still matter to Him, the Creator of the universe.

"You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing

You say I am strong when I think I am weak

And You say I am held when I am falling short

And when I don't belong, oh, You say I am Yours"

What powerful words!

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Anne Wilson Inspires with Powerful 'Stand' Lyric Video Performance

Popular and talented Christian musician Anne Wilson inspires with the powerful official performance lyric video for her new song "Stand."

This world can be sad, frightening and lonely. The current state of our world and society often demonstrates this. Turn on the television, flip to any news channel, and immediately find this to be true. Story after story prominently features the hatred, evil and vulgarity prevalent in society.

There is much evil in this world, and people continue to put their faith and hope in all the wrong places, including those running for office. Many people are so lost that they believe that after one man or woman gets into a particular office, all that ails the world will magically disappear.

Of course, that is not the case at all. God is the only one who can and will change anything. In her song "Stand," Anne encourages listeners to push back against the evil and hatred in this world and take a stand for Jesus Christ, even when the odds are decidedly against them.

Throughout the energetic, upbeat and terribly catchy tune, Anne asks several very pointed but necessary questions that Christians should consider carefully.

"Will you stand for love when all you see is hate

Will you follow the crowd or will you lead the way

You ain't meant to be the one who ran"

As everyone already knows, Anne admits that it's much safer and easier to go with the flow, not make any waves and not voice a dissenting opinion. However, Anne sings that she can do such, going against current and popular opinion, because she knows who is with her.

What a beautiful song with a message that many people in the world need to hear today.

Ephesians 6:13 "For this reason take up all the arms of God, so that you may be able to be strong in the evil day, and, having done all, to keep your place."

Four Vocalists Deliver a Powerful and Moving 'He Touched Me' Performance

Check out this fantastic quartet. Four vocalists deliver a powerful and moving ‘He Touched Me’ Performance.

Jody McBrayer, Guy Penrod, Mark Lowry, and Luke Taylor take the stage. All four are talented vocalists and harmonizers Guy and Mark have toured with the Gaither Vocal Band for many years. Jody was formerly in the band Avalon. Luke took on American Idol years ago after going viral on social media for his voice. Needless to say at the start of this song, these four men come on strong with their performance.

They start by welcoming Luke and pointing at him because his voice is so incredibly low it is almost unreal. Guy comments, “That’s incredible.” Their harmonies are connected and suave. They are tight and unified in their performance. Mark starts a solo, and his voice is pure and easy to listen to. Jody then takes the group to a new height vocally. He goes full-blown gospel and sings out belting. His voice is inspiring. At the end of this performance, the crowd stands in applause.

The audience is especially proud and excited because Luke Taylor is one of their own students. This was filmed at Liberty University. Luke was a sophomore at the time of this performance. You can see proud professors and staff in the crowd celebrating this moment in this young man’s life. He is given an amazing opportunity to sing alongside some of the greats in gospel music. This will be a moment that Luke will never forget. It reminds us to dedicate everything to the Lord. When He opens doors, no one can close them. We can trust Him as we walk through them.

“I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” Revelation 3:7-8

Woman’s Angelic Voice Shines in Beautiful Cover of 'Amazing Grace'

Check out this unique version of a classic hit and prepare to sing along. A woman’s angelic voice shines in a beautiful cover of ‘Amazing Grace.’

At the start of this video, a band of four stands on the center stage. They are all dressed in fun, professional outfits with striped pants. The woman begins to sing acapella. She has a stunning vibrato that is natural and beautiful. Her high notes are unbelievably smooth and light. She even ends on unexpected bluegrass-style notes. As you hear her sing, you want to hear more of what she will do next.

She has such strength and poise. After she completes her acapella portion of the song, the band joins in as the violin leads the instrumentalists. They perform a bluegrass style of ‘Amazing Grace’ that keeps you intrigued and in awe of this classic hymn that still speaks truth today. The woman then joins in with the musicians. They are inviting with worship and depth. They perform with all of their hearts. They worship God with their gifts and give Him so much glory. This group will have you singing along with them.

The chorus wonderfully says:

‘Amazing grace, how sweet the sound

that saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found,

was blind, but now I see.’

As the band plays this well-known and timeless hymn, may we be reminded of God’s grace in our own lives. We have been saved by Jesus’ death and resurrection. We were without hope and could not see, but He has opened our eyes to freedom.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Girls' Beautiful Performance of 'Wonderful, Merciful Savior'

Check out this young take on an older worship song. It’s a beautiful performance of 'Wonderful, Merciful Savior'

In this video, we see 8 sweet young country girls in the fields and riding horses. They are precious and all in adorable dresses. The younger 4 starts singing the first verse as they sit like little princesses on the field. Then, the next two eldest sing a duet under a tree. Seeing nature and the little girls welcome us into worshiping the Creator and Savior.

The chorus shows all 8 girls. They sing in their neutral dresses in front of the water. Then, there are clips of individuals in flowers and riding horses. The two oldest girls sing the second chorus. It is precious to see each age group worshiping Christ. Some of them raise their hands in worship as they sing the chorus. It will melt your heart.

This classic worship song never gets old and hearing it sung by young people revives it to this generation. The end shows the girls adorably sitting on a dock, kicking their feet in the water of the lake.

The chorus of this song sings:

‘You are the One that we praise,

You are the One we adore

You give the healing and grace,

our hearts always hunger for’

Every generation will praise the Savior. He is faithful to reveal Himself to us. As we listen to young women worshiping the Living God, may it lead us into joining in and singing and praising the Lord with them. Seeing the innocence and the precious girls reminds us that Christ makes us holy and calls us who believe in Him, His sons, and daughters.

“We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.” Psalm 78:4
