NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 31, 2025--

The Headstrong Project is proud to announce that more than $4 million was raised during the organization’s annual Gala held in New York City on October 22, 2025. The evening also marked the presentation of the 2025 Moral Courage Award to former Navy SEAL Frank Larkin, who accepted the honor in recognition of his tireless advocacy for mental health awareness and suicide prevention among veterans. Former President Bill Clinton presented the award to Larkin, who once served on his presidential security detail. Larkin has since dedicated his life to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health care in honor of his late son, Ryan Larkin, a decorated Navy SEAL who died by suicide in 2017. The evening’s program, presented by Carlisle Companies Incorporated, was hosted by Seth Meyers, host of “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

“We are honoring my friend and role model, Frank Larkin tonight, and his son Ryan,” said Headstrong Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus Zach Iscol. “Following the unimaginable loss of his son, Frank dedicated his life to making sure Ryan’s memory remained a blessing, to ensure we never left anyone behind. This is why we started The Headstrong Project – to provide veterans with world-class, cost and barrier-free, effective care they need to recover from their hidden wounds and get back to the best version of themselves.”

The Moral Courage Award recognizes individuals who exemplify extraordinary bravery in confronting personal and societal challenges and who use their platforms to promote healing and understanding. Larkin’s advocacy work has helped transform the national dialogue around post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury, empowering veterans to seek help without fear or stigma.

The 2025 Gala brought together a diverse audience of leaders from across all sectors, expert clinicians, service members and veterans, and supporters, including Ryan Eggold and Jocko Sims, to raise critical funds for Headstrong’s mission to heal the hidden wounds of war and trauma. To date, the organization has delivered more than 250,000 clinical sessions nationwide and is on track to deliver an astounding 50,000 clinical sessions by the end of this year.
