CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 20, 2026--
ALIS, the leading senior living intelligent eHR software, today announced the release of The ALIS 500 Clinical Report: Q4 2025, the industry’s first-of-its-kind clinical benchmarking report built specifically for assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities.
Derived from real-world clinical data across 500 senior living communities nationwide, the ALIS 500 Clinical Report delivers unprecedented visibility into resident acuity, health conditions, and care outcomes. When paired with the ALIS 500 Operational Report, which includes occupancy and length of stay benchmarks, the combined dataset provides a unified view of how clinical realities directly influence operational performance and long-term sustainability.
The Q4 2025 Clinical Report analyzes data from 28,800 residents, offering a national snapshot of resident demographics, diagnoses, comorbidities, and safety-related events. The dataset is curated to represent diverse geographies, ownership models, and community sizes and is updated quarterly to track evolving industry trends—equipping operators with objective insights to inform care planning, staffing, and align services with the true needs of their residents.
“The ALIS 500 brings clinical and operational insight together for the first time, giving operators a clear, objective way to understand how care needs impact occupancy, length of stay, and portfolio performance,” adds John Shafaee, CEO of ALIS.
Key Findings from the ALIS 500 Clinical Report (Q4 2025):
- Resident age is rising: The average resident age was 84.9 years, with 75% of residents over age 80 and 30% age 90 or older.
- Chronic conditions are prevalent: Hypertensive disorders (61%), neurodegenerative disorders (56%), and cerebrovascular conditions (56%) were the most common diagnoses.
- Complex comorbidities are the norm: 44% of residents had both cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative conditions, highlighting layered clinical risk.
- Falls remain a significant concern: Communities reported 17,668 fall incidents in Q4 2025, a rate of 7.7 falls per 1,000 resident-days, with memory care residents experiencing falls at twice the rate of assisted living residents.
Together, the ALIS 500 Clinical and Operational Reports deliver the most comprehensive benchmarking available to senior living operators today, enabling clearer, data-driven decisions as the industry moves toward greater accountability and value-based care. Attend our upcoming webinar hosted by Trisha Cole (COO) and Reza Borhani (VP of Data Science), to learn more about the report and how your portfolio can benefit from the insights.
