HUAIAN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 4, 2025--

Deok-ho Lim, director at SV Cross-border Group, a company specializing in the international expansion of hospitals and veterinary clinics in Asia, gave a keynote address at the "2nd Jiangsu Province Pet Economic Development Conference," where he declared, "The era of searching is over, and the era of answering has arrived."

Lim, who is also a director at NEL Animal Cardiovascular Center, a specialty cardiac hospital, presented a three-part strategy for hospital management centered on specialization, collaboration, and story (content). He introduced a new marketing paradigm, "KEYWORD-CONTENTS-ONLINE-AI," explaining that AI's decision-making process has become crucial. The event also included a ceremony where Lim was appointed as a professor at Jiangsu Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Vocational College.

Lim highlighted how NEL Animal Cardiovascular Center achieved a twentyfold growth through specialization. Originally focused on orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures, the center has recently transformed into a specialty cardiac veterinary hospital. It has set a world-class standard for heart valve surgeries by stabilizing its unique cardiopulmonary bypass method, which minimizes vascular damage to blood vessels.

Currently, NEL Animal Cardiovascular Center performs 2 to 4 complex heart surgeries per week and has established a referral network of over 500 domestic and international partners. Based on this, it is running a campaign to overturn the belief that animal heart disease cannot be cured. Lim also evaluated the potential of the Chinese market, projecting that if just 1-2% of the estimated 60 million dogs with heart disease chose surgery, it could create a new market worth trillions of Korean Won.

Regarding marketing, Lim emphasized the importance of building trustworthy content over quantity-based advertising. He analyzed a pet owner's journey into five stages: problem recognition and search, content consumption, comparison and feedback, contact and visit, and treatment. He advised focusing on "a story that leads to conversion rather than mere exposure."

SV Cross-border Group, in partnerships with The Blue Raincoat in Korea and Saigon Ventures in Vietnam, is driving the international expansion of hospitals and veterinary clinics across Asia. The group is building a regional hub that connects Korea, China, Vietnam, and Singapore.
