Alisha DeBerry, an instructor at Superior School of Real Estate, was named the 2025 Educator of the Year by the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association (NCREEA).
This prestigious statewide honor recognizes DeBerry’s exceptional contributions to real estate education and her dedication to elevating professional standards across the industry. Her name will be displayed on the North Carolina Real Estate Commission’s wall of honorees, joining an esteemed list of past recipients who have made lasting impacts in the field.
“This award is deeply meaningful to me because it represents the shared commitment we all have to raising the bar for excellence in real estate education,” said DeBerry. “It’s better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one, than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.”
With more than 15 years of experience teaching adult learners, DeBerry is widely respected for her dynamic, engaging teaching style and ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights. Beyond her classroom impact, she currently serves as Vice Chair of the NC REALTORS ® Professional Standards Committee and sits on the City of Monroe Planning Board. She has previously chaired and served on multiple advisory boards, including the NC REALTORS ® Broker-in-Charge Advisory Committee and NC REALTORS ® Board of Directors.
As a Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI), Gold Standard Instructor (GSI), and Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI), DeBerry’s work has influenced thousands of students and professionals across North Carolina and beyond. She is also an Amazon Best-Selling Author of several publications including True Credit Restoration, 30-Day Money Journal, and ABA Enterprises Notary Journal.
“Alisha’s recognition as Educator of the Year is a testament to the caliber of instruction students can expect at Superior,” said Bill Gallagher, Founder and Instructor at Superior School. “Her commitment to teaching, professionalism, and student success embodies the values that make Superior the trusted choice for real estate education in North Carolina.”
