About Mike Porcelli
Mike Porcelli teaches Automotive-Technology part-time at Bronx Community College, where he regularly tells his students, that: even with his six decades of experience, and being Master-Certified in every repair specialty, in every vehicle class, with 61 of 62 ASE-certifications, and dozens of other industry-credentials in both mechanical and collision repair; he is still going to school - because there is so much more to learn about current technology. He continues to repair all types of vehicles at his family’s 71-year-old repair business, where his career in the industry began at the age of five. In addition to his automotive high-school diploma, and many technical certifications, he holds a BA in economics and psychology, and an MBA. For the past 40 years he has served as an automotive-consultant and industry-expert on radio and TV, and as a court-certified-expert-witness on hundreds of legal cases. For decades he has been an industry adviser to many education programs, and is currently on a mission to reduce the industry's technician shortage by restoring and improving Trade-Education, in all levels of our school systems, and encouraging students to enter those programs
