He remembers the confusion and fear of those first moments, the frantic efforts to keep the show on the air, and the people who were suddenly forced to confront the unimaginable. Mike also reconnects with longtime colleague Joey Hudson to reminisce about how they communicated in the days before smartphones and how 9/11 changed even the most ordinary parts of American life. And 25 years later, as TSA begins allowing some travelers to once again bring loved ones to the gate, Mike asks whether America is finally beginning to reclaim traditions that disappeared after that terrible day.
