FLORHAM PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 30, 2025--

Wiss, a full-service accounting and business advisory firm leveraging AI and data analytics to deliver advanced financial solutions, announced today that Kelsey Silverstein, Wiss's PeopleOps Manager and leader of the company’s financial literacy programming, will speak at the EVERFI Impact Summit taking place at the Austin Proper Hotel in Austin, Texas. Silverstein will share insights on how Wiss, through its cross-industry partnerships with organizations such as the New Jersey Devils, advances financial literacy and personal finance skills among students in the New Jersey area.

The panel discussion, Authentic Community Engagement: Lessons from a Financial Institution and Sports Team Collaboration, will also feature Ned Luke, VP of Partnership Solutions from the New Jersey Devils and be an opportunity to offer practical tips and best practices on how organizations can successfully tie sponsorship dollars to their social impact mission.

Wiss’s partnership with the New Jersey Devils and EVERFI began in 2023 with the goal of combining corporate expertise with innovative educational technology and community engagement to bring financial education to high school students across New Jersey. This collaboration has equipped students with essential money management skills to help them be successful in their financial futures.

“At Wiss, we strongly believe in building meaningful partnerships that can drive positive change in our local communities. That’s why we’re committed to this partnership with the New Jersey Devils and EVERFI to improve the financial literacy of New Jersey youth,” said Kelsey Silverstein, Wiss's PeopleOps Manager at Wiss. “We aim to leverage our industry expertise to make financial education more accessible and less complex, building a stronger financial future for students.”

Since partnering with the Devils through EVERFI, Wiss has expanded the impact of its financial literacy through hands-on learning experiences and digital education initiatives designed to make financial knowledge accessible to all students. As a result of this, 2,880 students from 24 unique schools have been impacted and students’ financial literacy knowledge has increased by 39%.

During the 2024–2025 school year, for example, Wiss brought its financial literacy program to low- and moderate-income schools, reaching 952 students in underserved communities and giving them an opportunity they might not otherwise have had to gain the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial futures. Throughout this partnership, Wiss has conducted classroom connect visits with career chat insights, real-world money management exercises, and discussions about the financial services industry.

“Forging partnerships in communities can bring great change. That’s why the EVERFI Impact Summit is dedicated to being the platform that empowers business to share their first-hand experiences and insights around employee engagement and educational initiatives,” Jenny Hoffman, Chief Marketing Officer at EVERFI. “Wiss’s partnership with the Devils is an example of how regional collaborations can have a lasting impact on a student’s future and help them realize that financial education is more than dollars and cents. It’s about equipping the next generation with real-world skills to manage financial milestones.”

EVERFI Impact Summit is an annual event convening social impact leaders from forward-thinking companies across the U.S. to discuss how they’re driving positive change in their communities through education and employee engagement. EVERFI helps these companies achieve their Corporate Social Responsibility, social impact, and business goals by offering their communities world-class educational content that prepares people for life’s most crucial challenges.

Wiss has recently expanded this financial literacy program with other organizations, like Team Walker, an after-school program serving underrepresented communities, to further empower young people with real-world financial decision-making skills. Wiss’s financial literacy initiative is part of the firm’s broader social impact commitment, which focuses on community-driven programs that create lasting change.
