Siren Marine, the worldwide leader in Connected Boat® technology, joined forces with Dometic, a leading global outdoor technology company, to introduce the marine industry’s first off-boat, cloud-based HVAC control for boats.
“The cloud-based HVAC control represents a significant step forward in Connected Boat technology,” said Andrew Cullen, Director, Connectivity, Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit. “By integrating Siren’s advanced IoT platform with Dometic’s advanced HVAC systems, we’re enabling seamless off-boat control that was not previously possible. The new HVAC control represents the continued evolution of Connected Boat technology, elevating the user experience by giving boaters more control such as preparing cabin temperature before arriving on a boat or monitoring HVAC status remotely. This innovation demonstrates how connectivity can expand system functionality, laying the groundwork for future integrations that will further transform the way customers and builders think about smart boating.”
The new HVAC interface represents the continued evolution of Connected Boat technology, elevating the user experience by giving boaters more control. Siren Pro 3 core functions feature real-time vessel connectivity, multiple and flexible boat monitoring and tracking functions, and convenience features including remote digital switching. Siren adds to the original platform with the new HVAC control, giving customers the ability to command an action on their boats from their smartphones through the Siren Connected Boat mobile app. The result is a cool or warm cabin upon their arrival to the dock.
Beginning the Fall of 2025, the Siren/Dometic Connected Boat Cloud-Based HVAC Control will be integrated in the Siren Mobile app, ready to go for boats installed with Siren Pro 3 and specific Dometic HVAC systems, including the GTX and GVTX models.
