Kokrak remains in hunt at U.S. Open with steady second round

Jason Kokrak shook off a shaky to start in the second round of the U.S. Open to put himself in contention. The big-hitting PGA Tour veteran had 3 birdies over his final 5 holes to shoot a 1-over 71 at Winged Foot. Kokrak is 1 under after 2 rounds, 3 behind leader Patrick Reed. Kokrak may not be as recognizable some of the other names on the leaderboard, but he's had a steady career since debuting on the PGA Tour in 2012. He's qualified for the FedEx Cup playoffs each of the past 8 seasons and has been top 20 in driving distance every year on tour.
