Man stabbed in subway station on Manhattan's Upper West Side

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a man has been stabbed by a group of people on a subway platform on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

It happened around 1:45 a.m. Monday on a northbound platform in the B and C line station at 96th Street, near Central Park.

Police say it appears about eight young men or teens converged on a 21-year-old man, who was stabbed with an unknown object. The attackers ran out of the station.

The injured man is hospitalized and expected to survive.
