Life term imposed in 2017 murder, dismemberment of woman

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend and business partner almost three years ago and dumping her dismembered remains in a waterway has been sentenced to life in prison. NorthJersey.com reports that 43-year-old Raphael Lolos was given the maximum sentence Friday in the death of 31-year-old Jenny Londono. Bergen County prosecutors said she was killed in her Edgewater apartment and her remains dumped in the Hudson River in the summer of 2017. Defense attorney Emile Lisboa said at the sentencing that his client maintains his innocence and made an unsuccessful last-ditch motion for a new trial.
