2 incidents send 3 police officers to hospital with injuries

NEW YORK (AP) — Two New York police officers have been shot and wounded and another hit by a car in separate incidents. All three have been taken to area hospitals. The NYPD says the two officers wounded by gunfire were hurt along with a suspect who was also shot. The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Beaumont Avenue in the Bronx. Police say the officers’ injuries are not life-threatening and neither is the suspect’s. Earlier, an officer suffered a leg injury after getting hit by a car around 6:30 p.m. in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. Authorities say he is in stable condition. Information on the circumstances was not available.
