Memorial Day picnic plans? Keep it to 25 people, Murphy says

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy says that he is lifting the limit on outdoor gatherings from 10 people to 25 and that Memorial Day cookouts can go forward if people maintain social distancing. Murphy also said Friday that public and private campgrounds may reopen, citing hopeful trends in state coronavirus data. He says indoor gatherings are still limited to 10 people. Also, the state treasurer is proposing $5 billion in budget cuts, deferred payments and other budget-tightening measures. And three Lawrence Township police officers were suspended after being accused of sneaking into a closed park during the pandemic and lying about it.
