LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 28, 2025--
HRC Fertility, one of the largest providers of advanced fertility care, announces its role as a proud sponsor of two influential events shaping the future of reproductive care and broader healthcare. HRC Fertility is sponsoring both the 2025 American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Scientific Congress & Expo in San Antonio, Texas and the 2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards, hosted by FutureMedLA, a charitable arm of the Los Angeles County Medical Association ( LACMA ).
HRC Fertility is committed to supporting innovation in care, developing physician leadership and placing steps towards advancements in science and medicine towards the goal of improved patient-centered outcomes.
American Society for Reproductive Medicine ( ASRM) 2025 Congress
With a longstanding presence at the ASRM’s Scientific Congress & Expo, HRC Fertility continues its support of clinical advancement and thought medical leadership. The 2025 program also includes participation from a number of HRC Fertility physicians.
Dr. Robert Boostanfar, a fertility and IVF physician at HRC Fertility’s Valley regional office and a principal investigator, will be sharing clinical insights at ASRM along with Dr. Gus Haddad, chief medical officer of Gameto. They will provide an exclusive overview of the pivotal U.S. Phase 3 trial of Fertilo, which evaluates an investigational technology intended to mature eggs in the lab. The goal is to assess whether the approach can reduce the number of hormone injections and the time required for IVF procedures. Drs. Boostanfar and Haddad will share firsthand insights and key takeaways from both clinical practice and the research side of the trial. The Gameto FIRST study evaluates the efficacy of a novel investigational product derived from stem cells to co-culture immature eggs after minimal stimulation and highlights include a possibly shorter stimulation potentially reducing the injection journey for a patient. On October 27, 2025, during ASRM, a participating site in the Los Angeles region reported an early pregnancy in the ongoing U.S. Phase 3 trial. Treatment assignment for this case remains blinded and no conclusions about safety or effectiveness should be drawn until completion of the trial. Fertilo is investigational, is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and its safety and effectiveness have not been established.
Dr. Katherine McDaniel, a fertility and IVF physician specialist at HRC Fertility’s Pasadena office, will present new insights on increasing fertility preservation counseling. She will be joined by fellow HRC Fertility Pasadena, CA-based REI physicians Dr. Richard Paulson, who will share research on endometrial health, fertility-sparing management and embryo transfer outcomes, and Dr. Adriana Wong, who will also address the link between ovulatory disorders and future infertility.
Dr. Aileen Portugal, a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) fellow, who will join HRC Fertility’s San Diego office in Fall 2026, will also present research spanning health equity, complex family planning and DEI in fellowship training programs.
“As leaders in reproductive medicine, we believe that advancing science and empowering the next generation of clinicians and scientists is essential,” shares Kerry Ayazi, administrative president of HRC Fertility. “Our sponsorship of ASRM reflects our commitment to both clinical innovation and ensuring physician voices continue to shape the field with research and patient-centered care at the forefront.”
2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards
HRC Fertility is also a proud sponsor of the 2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards, taking place November 14 at The Maybourne Beverly Hills. The event celebrates innovations in care and medicine, with an eye towards improving access to care and care outcomes across Los Angeles County. By supporting this event, HRC Fertility joins fellow healthcare leaders in a shared effort to improve care and support healthcare innovations.
“On behalf of the FutureMedLA Board, I want to extend our sincere thanks to HRC Fertility for supporting the 2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards. This event is more than a celebration—it’s a tribute to the healthcare champions and visionaries who are shaping a healthier, more equitable Los Angeles,” said Troy Elander, MD, Chair, FutureMedLA Foundation. “Proceeds from the evening directly benefit FutureMedLA’s mission to support the next generation of physician leaders through medical student scholarships and leadership development. We’re honored to have HRC Fertility stand with us in advancing this vital work.”
