Body of missing boy with autism found in river near his home

FORT JENNINGS, Ohio (AP) — Searchers in Ohio have found the body of a missing 5-year-old boy with autism in a river near his home. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says a volunteer found the boy’s body Thursday in a log jam in the river, less than a mile from his home. Authorities in northwestern Ohio say Isaac Schroeder was last seen Wednesday afternoon at home. Officials say foul play is not suspected in his disappearance. A sheriff’s captain says the boy likely left his home through a garage door and that at least 900 volunteers took part in the search for him Thursday.
