TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gas prices jumped higher again in New Jersey and around the nation with increasing demand following easing of restrictions imposed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.16, up six cents from a week ago. Drivers were paying $2.74 a gallon at this time last year. The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $2.17, also up six cents in the last week. The national average was $2.68 at this time a year ago.
