President Joe Biden's climate czar is under fire for his use of private jets and his 2019 comments about needing them to travel. John Kerry, who began serving as the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate in January, faces questions about his past use of private jets.

Only a few days after noting that laid-off employees of the Keystone pipeline project can make solar panels instead, the former Secretary of State is now being criticized for his own personal impact on the climate.

As the National Review reports, Kerry used a private jet in 2019 to fly to Iceland to accept an environment award. According to the National Review, Kerry "defended his transportation choice to a reporter at the time by calling it, 'the only choice for somebody like me.'"

TheHill.com has also reported that Kerry's family owns its own private jet

Despite his own personal use of private airplanes, Kerry has called for strengthening the Paris climate agreement, which he helped write during the Obama administration.
