Carry Me With You

This is a song about a parent's love and that extends to God's love for us as well.

Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 8 - The Wonderful Name of the Lord

The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the #psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Each Psalm is thoughtfully adapted into lyrical and melodic compositions, many using modern tools, to explore harmonies, instrumentation, and genre-blending arrangements. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. lyrics: [Verse 1] Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! You let your glory be seen in the heavens above. With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless. [Chorus] Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! [Verse 2] I often think of the heavens your hands have made, and of the moon and stars you put in place. Then I ask, “Why do you care about us humans? Why are you concerned for us weaklings?” You made us a little lower than you yourself, and you have crowned us with glory and honor. [Chorus] Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! [Verse 3] You let us rule everything your hands have made. And you put all of it under our power— the sheep and the cattle, and every wild animal, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and all ocean creatures. [Chorus] Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! ---- style: Pop, Boy Band, worship

Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 7 - The Lord Always Does Right

The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the #psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. The tone of this chapter really required a harder music style and I really like how it turned out. lyrics: [Verse 1] You, Lord God, are my protector. Rescue me and keep me safe from all who chase me. Or else they will rip me apart like lions attacking a victim, and no one will save me. [Verse 2] I am innocent, Lord God! I have not betrayed a friend or had pity on an enemy who attacks for no reason. If I have done any of this, then let my enemies chase and capture me. Let them trample me to death and leave me in the dirt. [Bridge] Get angry, Lord God! Do something! Attack my furious enemies. See that justice is done. Make the nations come to you, as you sit on your throne above them all. [Chorus] I will praise you, Lord! You always do right. I will sing about you, the Lord Most High. [Verse 3] Our Lord, judge the nations! Judge me and show that I am honest and innocent. You know every heart and mind, and you always do right. Now make violent people stop, but protect all of us who obey you. [Verse 4] You, God, are my shield, the protector of everyone whose heart is right. You see that justice is done, and each day you take revenge. Whenever your enemies refuse to change their ways, you sharpen your sword and string your bow. Your deadly arrows are ready with flaming tips. [Bass Drop] An evil person is like a woman about to give birth to a hateful, deceitful, and rebellious child. Such people dig a deep hole, then fall in it themselves. The trouble they cause comes back on them, and their heads are crushed by their own evil deeds. [Chorus] I will praise you, Lord! You always do right. I will sing about you, the Lord Most High. [Guitar Solo Interlude] [Bridge] Get angry, Lord God! Do something! Attack my furious enemies. See that justice is done. Make the nations come to you, as you sit on your throne above them all. [Chorus] I will praise you, Lord! You always do right. I will sing about you, the Lord Most High. ---- notes: Words updated for song lyrics style: A high-energy worship rock anthem with bright electric guitars, rhythmic acoustic strumming, punchy drums, and uplifting synth pads

Soul-Stirring Family Performance of ‘Shout to the Lord’ You Need to Hear

Listen to this soul-stirring performance from a family band of the song ‘Shout to the Lord.’ The talented musicians in the video are part of a family band called Missioned Souls. Let their rendition of this song uplift and encourage you today.

‘Shout to the Lord all the Earth, let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name’

What a beautiful and talented family! The members of the family band include husband and wife, Secan and Sheena, and their four children: Naces, who is 15 years old and plays the keyboard; Neisha, who is 13 years old and play lead guitar; Stacey, who is 11 years old and sings/play rhythm guitar; and Isaiah, who is 10 years old and plays drums.

This family band has a beautiful mission, as stated on their YouTube page. “We are a family commissioned to propagate the importance of family unity by showing love and respect to each family member and for one another. We put into action our God-given gifts to bring joy and fun into other people’s lives through music,” their bio reads. “Missioned Souls was born out of our earnest desire to give thanks for the simple musical talent we receive from above, thus, giving glory to the Holy Trinity.”

As for the song ‘Shout to the Lord,’ it was written by Darlene Zschech, who leads worship for the Hillsong television program, which broadcasts to over 160 countries. But at the time this song was written, Darlene was in a very stressful season of life.

“It still takes my breath away to remember,” says Darlene. “I was not going to the piano to write an important song. I went to worship my God when I was at the end of myself. It was after another reminder notice came in for an overdue bill, and I kind of ran out of steam. But I went into a room where all the children’s toys were, and my very old, out of tune, upright piano. I opened my Bible to the Psalms and started to pray. Within about twenty minutes, ‘Shout’ had been composed. To be honest, I cannot really claim to have written the song—I  just started singing it, bit by bit, again and again.”

May this song be a reminder to us all to call out to the Lord in our times of need. He is our great comforter and healer. We hope that you enjoyed listening to this rendition of ‘Shout to the Lord’ today.

Sounds Like Reign Moving ‘Near to the Heart of God’ Performance

Sounds Like Reign has turned in a moving “Near to the Heart of God” performance. This is a gentle, yet powerful performance of the hymn that is near and dear to the hearts of many. Watch the short but inspiring performance of the classic hymn “Near to the Heart of God.” It’s so beautifully performed that you’ll find yourself listening to it repeatedly.

This world is a wild and chaotic place, full of disorder and utter dysfunction. Hurt, heartache and sorrow abound; seemingly everywhere we look, someone is desperately searching for even the smallest amount of hope. They want some kind of reassurance that this hurt, this suffering, will not last and that experiencing even momentary relief is possible.

Those in the world will look here and there for answers. They will try that or this fix, hoping it is the permanent solution they have been seeking. Sadly, when that turns out not to be the answer they hoped it would be, they are right back where they started, and their hunt for rest and restoration continues.

However, there is an answer. There is one who can take all that hurt, all those painful memories, grief, suffering and make something beautiful out of it. In a clip posted on YouTube, Sounds Like Reign sings “Near to the Heart of God.” That’s the place where restoration can and does take place, where the weary can find rest and the hurt can find relief and comfort.

It's a beautifully written hymn that tells of God’s love for the lost and what He freely offers if they would repent of their sins, forsake their former way of life and turn to Him.

“There is a place of quiet rest,
Near to the heart of God
A place where sin cannot distress
Near to the heart of God”

All, whether they know it or not, are looking for such a location – a place of rest, of comfort and where joy and peace can be found.

Romans 8:6 “For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:”

Beloved Hymn ‘I Know Who Holds Tomorrow’ Lyric Video

A lyric video has been released for the beloved hymn “I know Who Holds Tomorrow.” The beautiful, powerful words of this familiar tune, combined with the lyric video’s captivating, mesmerizing backdrop, make this a clip that you’ll find yourself playing repeatedly. Watch the short but uplifting and inspiring video to listen to the hymn that is near and dear to the hearts of many, “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow.”

So many people are walking around today who are overwhelmed, stressed out and anxiety ridden. Their constant, incessant worries about the future leave them unable to function. It has gotten so bad, and the problems have become so widespread that simply getting through the day is a significant accomplishment for many.

Constantly worrying about what may or may not happen down the road is no way to live. Yet, everyone does it at one time or another. Anyone who says otherwise is not being 100 percent truthful. We all have apprehensions and carry anxious feelings about what the future holds. However, Jesus commands us to cast all our cares and worries upon Him. Take the issue or problem to Him and leave it at His feet as He directs.

Not worrying or stressing ourselves out about the future is precisely what the beloved hymn “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow” is all about. Of course, we don’t know what will happen tomorrow or the next day, but if we put our faith and trust in Him, we can be assured that whatever happens, He will be there to go through it with us.

“I don’t worry o’er the future
For I know what Jesus said,
And today, I’ll walk beside Him
For He knows what is ahead”

Those are beautiful and powerful words that we would all be better off remembering more often. We don’t have to worry ourselves sick about what may happen tomorrow; we can’t predict or really change the future anyway. Place your trust in Him and let Him handle it all, because He knows what lies ahead anyway.

Matthew 6:34 “Then have no care for tomorrow: tomorrow will take care of itself. Take the trouble of the day as it comes.”

The chorus says:

And now let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us

God tells us to give thanks. David wrote many Psalms of thanksgiving. May this song spur on your gratitude today and remind you of the sweet gifts from Jesus.

He has given us life and the opportunity of eternal life in Jesus. There is always something to be thankful for in Christ.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies." Psalm 107:1-2
