Therefore I Tell You, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." - Mark 11:24
I haven't always had faith in God. I used to believe everything in my life was up to me. If I succeeded, I was proud. If I failed- it was all my fault. Though I do not shirk the responsibility to do my best in life in all things, it is a HUGE relief to know I am not all alone. In fact, God is with me every step of the way, lavishing his extravagant grace on me when he sees I need it and at other times allowing me to learn lesson from my mistakes.
One of the biggest tests of my faith was when I was facing infertility. The 8 year journey till we finally had our twins Hannah and Caleb was heart-wrenching, but God showed himself to me through that heartbreaking time. -And He left me with the deep conviction that God listens when we pray!

Lyrics
VERSE:
What do you long for
What do you need
What have you cried out again and again for on your aching knees
Are you tempted to give up?
Not sure of his will?
Remember that persistent widow
And try again still!
CHORUS:
You listen to my prayers
My Jesus told me so
You promise you are there
Though sometimes I don’t know
But I’ll get back on my knees
‘Cause I choose to believe
That you listen to my prayers
And you will answer me!
VERSE:
The widow pressed the judge
Till he gave into her plea
Hannah prayed and prayed and prayed
Till she had Samuel on her knee
Oh, Father! In your love
Give me bread and not a stone
Comfort me, ABBA!
So I know I’m not alone!
CHORUS:
You will listen to my prayers
My Jesus told me so
You promise you are there
Though sometimes I don’t know
But I’ll get back on my knees
‘Cause I choose to believe
That you listen to my prayers
And you will
BRIDGE:
I walk thorough the valley of the shadow of death
I praise you, Lord with my last breath
You lay me down in pastures green
I find my peace here on my knees
Though I walk thorough the valley of the shadow of death
I’ll praise you, Lord with my last breath
You lay me down in pastures green
I find my peace here on my knees
I find my peace here on my knees
CHORUS: You listen to my prayers
My Jesus told me so (you promise, you promise)
You promise you are there
Though sometimes I don’t know
So I’ll get back on my knees
‘Cause I choose to believe
That you listen to my prayers
And you will answer me!
You listen to my prayers
My Jesus told me so
You promise you are there
Though sometimes I don’t know
So I’ll get back on my knees
‘Cause I choose to believe
To believe-
That you listen!
No proper recording of the original choral arrangement seems to have survived, but it made a mighty finale to John Steffensen's second musical.
Melody and Bible-text re-wording: John Steffensen, using the 1978 Norwegian bokmål translation.
Adonai,You know all my heart and fathom me!
Where I sit and when I stand, Aware of it
My mind seen and mapped out beforehand.
Adonai, You know all my heart and fathom me!
If I walk or lay me down, discerning it,
Preserving my coming and my going.
Before the word is on the tongue-tip
Hearing it, everything I say!
Under, over, covering me
You have kept your hand on me.
Under, over, covering me
You have kept your hand on me.
’Tis far too wonderful for the telling.
’Tis far too high For me ever to understand.
Under, over, covering me
You have kept your hand on me
Where can I flee Far from your presence?
Where can I cower from your visage?
If I follow the Milky Way, -You are there! You are there!
If I follow the Milky Way -You are there! You are there!
If my hide-out I make in Hell, —you are there!
Though I try the wings of morning on
And fly away where sky meets ocean
Your Spirit still awaits me there!
The hollow of Your hand Encloses me And if I say:
“Let darkness cover me,The daylight around me be night!”
The dark is as clear as dawn to You!
The dark is as clear as dawn to You!
The night is as clear as morning,
The dark of night, as brightest day.
Ransack me God.
Discern my thinking.
Sift to the heart of my very most soul!
Discover where I Cling to roads of wrong,
And take me the paths everlasting.
The language is deliberately somewhat archaic.
Joel Smallbone of For King & Country discusses the band’s new single "World on Fire," explaining that while the title reflects today’s chaos, the song points listeners toward peace, joy, and hope found in Christ. He shares how taking a year off touring becomes a season of formation -- allowing space for creativity, family, and spiritual renewal. Smallbone also previews future projects, including a new album, a music video filmed in the Dominican Republic, Christmas performances at the Grand Ole Opry, and a new film, "Young Washington."
This is a more contemporary version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" (EDM). This is a classic song hoping for Christ to come. Christ came to show people the way to God. He died, for the sins of the world, and rose from the dead. Christ will come again to renew the whole world.

This video reflects a very difficult time in my life... My father was dying from colon cancer and the struggle with my faith was very real, but God saw me through it all and for that and everything else He has done, I am truly Grateful!
HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Listen up! Brotha' Ugly comin' at ya
With a message, that I pray is gonna catch ya
I'm just a servant, who is here to tell you why
Because he's worthy, it's time to worship the Most High!
Lift your voices, and shout with everything!
Oh HALLELUYAH! Glory to the KING!
Don't you hold back now, because he gave us everything
Now make a joyful noise, now let me hear you sing!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Glory to the King!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Let me hear you sing!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Glory to the King!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
It's time for a praise break!
Rejoice, because he chose us Israel
He died for our sins, so we don't have to go to hell
Give him your hearts, because he's shown you all his love
Poured out his spirit, Ruach Ha Kodesh fallin' from above
Showed us mercy and grace, you know you don't deserve it
Only by his sacrifice, could we ever even earn it
Repent from your sin, stop being like a bandit
Obey his word, and start keeping the commandments!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Glory to the King!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Let me hear you sing!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
Let me hear you sing!
Oh HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH!
It's time for a praise break!
