Justin Martyr aka Justin-Credible has released the New Single "Be Optimistic." This song is a remix of one of his favorite songs from his childhood "Optimistic" by the Legendary Group Sounds of Blackness; Produced by Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Gary Hines. As a producer and musician Justin feels it was his obligation to flip the song and give it his own spin! The aforementioned artists/producers are true musical inspirations!

With this song; the goal is to encourage us to trust the Lord in all things and at all times. Justin wants to remind us that God is still on the throne and no matter what we go through as believers we can remain Optimistic because we don't just live for this life; we also live for the life that's to come! We also know that Our God is in control of all things and Sovereign over this world! If you don't know the Lord today, we encourage you to repent, surrender your life to Jesus and lay up for yourself treasures in heaven which no one can steal or take away! (Matt. 6:19-20).

About the Artist:

Justin Martyr is by no means a new artist, he is a musical veteran and has been signed to two different record labels. Under his former stage name Justin-Credible; he’s released an EP (Child of the King EP in 2005) two solo albums (Child of the King LP in 2006 and Child of the King Vol. 2 in 2008). A collaboration album was released with his best friend Vaughn “V. Keys” Henry (Revealed Truth in 2010). He also rapped and played drums on Level 8’s 2011 Album “The One” and was featured on the 2016 album by V. Keys entitled “Clarity #2016.” Born and raised in Miami, FL; Justin moved to Atlanta, GA in 2012 for theological and musical networking and then to Chicago, IL in the same year to attend the prestigious Moody Bible Institute and Moody Theological Seminary where he graduated with both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Theology and Pastoral Ministry.

Currently, Justin lives in Chicago with his lovely wife and serves as a Pastor/Elder at New Life Community Church in Bridgeport and he also serves as Pastor of Visitation at Urban Youth and Family Outreach in Englewood, Chicago. By God's grace Justin has performed and preached all over the world including the United States and North America, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. He has shared the stage with many world-renowned artists such as Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Pretty Ricky, The Ambassador, Israel and New Breed, Ace Hood, Cross Movement, P.O.D., Skillet, KJ-52, Tonex, William McDowell, Canton Jones and many more. Justin regularly performs and ministers on the streets, in churches, schools, clubs, bars, jails, festivals and anywhere else he has the opportunity.

TobyMac pens a powerful song titled ’21 Years’ about the passing of his son, Truett Foster. On October 23, 2019, the 21-year-old son of Christian superstar TobyMac passed away. Truett was an aspiring artist and had already released songs on his own along with collaborations with his father. His death came as a surprise to all and when the news broke, the world’s heart broke. But that heartache pales in comparison to what his father must have felt.

Following his death, TobyMac was led to write a song. In an official statement posted to Facebook, he said, “21 years” is a song I wrote about the recent passing of my firstborn son, Truett Foster McKeehan. I loved him with all my heart. Until something in life hits you this hard, you never know how you will handle it. I am thankful that I have been surrounded by love, starting with God’s and extending to community near and far that have walked with us and carried us everyday. Writing this song felt like an honest confession of the questions, pain, anger, doubt, mercy and promise that describes the journey I’m probably only beginning. The rest is yet to come. One thing I know is that I am not alone. God didn’t promise us a life of no pain or even tragic death, but He did promise He would never leave us or forsake us. And I’m holding dearly to that promise for my son as well as myself.” As we listen to these powerful words, we send up a prayer for anyone who has lost a loved one.

Many believe that the Christian faith was introduced to black people and other minorities primarily through slavery and colonization. Justin debunks this lie propagated by many black cults and Pan-African religions through biblical, historical and logical argumentation. The fact of the matter is this: Christianity is an Eastern and African religion from the very first pages of the First Covenant in Genesis to the conclusion in the book of Revelation in the Second Covenant.

Sadly, many people were introduced to an erroneous form of Christianity through the atrocities of slavery and colonization, however Christianity had been in Africa for over 1500 years before the infamous Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Jesus; the central figure of the Christian faith actually lived in Africa and the Gospel reached Africa well before it made its way to Europe.

This is a work of art that is not meant to promote Black Supremacy, but biblical and historical accuracy.
