SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 30, 2025--
Millie, a tech-enabled women’s health clinic, today announced the launch of its perimenopause and menopause offerings, rounding out its gynecological services. The new program will support women navigating the transition into perimenopause and menopause, marking Millie’s evolution beyond its roots in maternal healthcare, creating a more comprehensive continuum of care for women at every stage of life.
Births among women aged 35 and older have risen 50 percent over the past decade. As a result, women at the intersection of perimenopause and postpartum have become a critical patient population. For many, having children in their late 30s and 40s coincides with hormonal changes defined as perimenopause, creating unique challenges that are often inadequately addressed by providers. To address this, Millie is expanding its services to offer new and existing patients — including those seeking care beyond maternal health — access to personalized, evidence-based perimenopause and menopause care from Millie’s collaborative clinical team of OBGYNs, midwives, women’s health nurse practitioners, and doulas.
"Millie was born out of my own near-miss following the birth of my daughter at the age of 39. As I was recovering, I experienced the intersection of postpartum and perimenopause myself. It was hard to tell whether my weight gain, sleep disturbances, mood changes, and chronic pain were due to new motherhood or perimenopause. My hope with this expansion is that our patients go through these milestone life moments with the full spectrum of care and support they deserve,” said Anu Sharma, CEO and Founder & CEO of Millie.
The new services will include a full range of evidence-based treatments for perimenopause and menopause, including hormone therapy, non-hormonal medications, vaginal treatments, and lifestyle strategies for symptom relief, offered both in-person and virtually.
This expansion follows Millie’s introduction of preconception counseling and other gynecology offerings in 2023, which already included annual wellness exams, infection screenings, contraceptives, and miscarriage care. More recently, Millie added fertility assessments to its offerings lineup earlier this summer to better support patients trying to conceive. The addition of the perimenopause and menopause program further underscores the company’s commitment to providing ongoing care for patients through their reproductive years and beyond.
“Now, a few years into Millie, we are not only seeing patients come back after having a second baby with us, but also for the health transitions that follow,” said Talia Borgo, Clinical Director & Nurse-Midwife, MS, CNM, WHNP, RN. “For many of our patients, two momentous phases of life, postpartum and perimenopause, are colliding. Our holistic, expert-led care approach ensures our patients have the kind of support that evolves with them through every life stage.”
“Too often, reproductive care ends after the postpartum visit, leaving individuals to navigate complex changes alone,” said Dr. Amy Kane, Medical Director & OB-GYN at Millie. “Continuity of care drives better outcomes, which is why Millie stays with patients from conception through the postpartum period and beyond. With midwives, nurse practitioners, and specialist physicians working collaboratively, we aim to provide optimal care for each of our patients as they move through their unique health journeys.”
This expansion comes on the heels of Millie’s $12M Series A, co-led by TMV and Foreground Capital, with significant participation from Pivotal Ventures, Ingeborg Investments, the March of Dimes Innovation Fund and others, which propelled the opening of their second physical clinic in San Jose, as the company continues to expand its presence in California and beyond. Having already established itself as a leader in maternal healthcare through its model, powered by both clinician and patient-facing technology, Millie is working on launching new markets with more health system partnerships, while continuing to advance its technology through greater AI-enablement.
