Joel Smallbone Celebrates the Impact of Faith-Based Films at I Can Only Imagine 2 Premiere

Having experienced similar success with their own film Unsung Hero, Smallbone reflected on the pride he feels seeing stories rooted in faith, family, and music resonate on such a large scale. Smallbone also shared that he is actively working on a new film project, teasing a Revolutionary War–era musical titled Drummer Boy the Movie, which will explore the story of two brothers on opposite sides of the battlefield. As both a musician and filmmaker, he expressed excitement about continuing to tell meaningful stories through multiple creative avenues. With faith-based films gaining momentum and connecting with wider audiences, Smallbone said he is proud to support projects like I Can Only Imagine 2 that highlight both vulnerability and hope.
