OCEANSIDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 12, 2025--

Monterey Financial Services (MFS), a leading force in the consumer receivables industry, offering consumer finance and receivables management solutions, announced today it has been named one of the San Diego Business Journal’s (SDBJ) “Best Places to Work” for the fourth consecutive year.

The annual awards program celebrates companies across San Diego County that excel at creating exceptional workplace cultures. Winners are determined through a rigorous two-part process in partnership with the Workforce Research Group, including a detailed review of companies and confidential employee feedback.

MFS says the honor is a testament to its continued investment in employee well-being and professional development, as well as its focus on fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and community engagement.

“Our success is built on the dedication of our team, and this recognition reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where our employees feel valued, supported, and inspired,” says MFS CEO Kevin Weiss. “We’re equally proud of our team’s commitment of giving back and making a positive impact in our community.”

That commitment was put into action as MFS team members recently spent a day volunteering at San Diego Humane Society’s Oceanside Campus. Employees rolled up their sleeves to support both staff and animals, helping with essential tasks such as cleaning the dog exercise yards, organizing adoption and animal care food bags, and assisting in the foster treatment area. Their efforts directly contributed to the Humane Society’s ability to provide high-quality care to the nearly 1,500 animals currently housed across its campuses.

“The pets in our care rely on our staff, volunteers and community support for their well-being,” says San Diego Humane Society Director of Public Relations Nina Thompson. “The MFS team’s willingness to jump in and support pets’ health and happiness in Oceanside is appreciated immensely.”
